"THE GAVEL" auction gallery, located on heavily traveled NYS Rt. 12, just north of Oxford, Chenango County only 50 miles south of Utica or 30 miles north of Binghamton, was closed on August 5, 2010. The building has been leased to the Common Cent's Thrift Store operated by the United Church Women of Oxford. A volunteer organization they accept all sorts of household donations with the sale profits donated to the local food pantry.
